This inspirational exhibition of art by women in the Whitehorse Art Collection includes both local and internationally renowned artists.
The artworks range from those produced in the early years of the 1900s to as recently as last year. This makes for a brilliant exploration of the history of art over that time.
A multitude of ceramics, paintings, photographs, prints and textiles will showcase the talent of female artists represented in the Collection.
Some artists have created works for the simple joy of art production depicting flowers, landscapes and portraits. Others have created art with a deliberate message, from environmental concerns to the state of politics or comments on world events.
Works include ceramics by Gwyn Hanssen Pigott, Judith Pungarta Inkamala and Jill Symes, and paintings by Clara Southern, Florence Hayward and Norma Bull.
Local Whitehorse artists with work in the exhibition include Box Hill residents Fiona McKinnon and Roma McLaughlin.
Don’t miss this stunning compilation of handpicked works that will appeal to both regular art lovers and those simply curious about the fine works kept in the collection.
