DULDIG Studio Museum at 92 Burke Road Malvern East is the former home and studio of sculptor Karl Duldig (1902-1986) and his wife, artist and inventor, Slawa Horowitz (c1902-1975). Karl’s original studio, kiln, tools, work and the adjoining garden with bronze and terracotta sculptures remain as he left them.

Named after her feisty grandmother, Irish-born Julia Mosley is a vibrant, charismatic woman with an unstoppable ‘can-do’ approach to life. In May 2009, to assist disadvantaged young people lacking education or training/skills to find employment, she and two friends, Trish Wade and Sue Hamilton, started Youth Education Support Inc. (YES ). Julia is its CEO.
It was Dorothy Sutherland, a member of the Hawthorn Historical Society, who came up with the idea of creating an Aboriginal food garden along the Yarra River. The garden began in 1990 and was named after a Woirurrung clan who claim land by the Yarra River.
