Op-shopping for Christmas

I’ve always loved scouring Op Shops and secondhand stores – my first flat was furnished courtesy of Young’s Auctions in Hawthorn. There are so many bargains to be had and many items are brand new – possibly the result of unwanted gifts or changed minds.

If funds are tight, consider a Christmas shopping spree at your local Op Shop – you will also be helping the shop’s special charity. So pick your favourite charity and go shopping!

My ‘local’ is the YES Op shop in Mahoneys Road, Forest Hill, which aids young disadvantaged people’s education. From our Community Notices’ Community Shopping section we also have the following Op Shops which all have quality items:

Ashwood Salvation Army Thrift Shop, cnr High & Welfare Pde. 9058 6050.
