Surrey Park Lake (otherwise known as ‘Surrey Dive’) is the location of The Surrey Park Model Boat Club, started in the 1980s by a small group of model boat enthusiasts. The lake was formerly a quarry supplying clay to the local brickworks which, when the pit was exhausted, was allowed to fill with water and became the local swimming pool.

The Phoenix Park Table Tennis Club (PPTTC), established in 2014 by Paul Bronstein and Graeme Scarlett, says it caters for players of all abilities – from beginners to hot shots! Their youngest player is six years old and the oldest is 94 years young.
